Snow Tracks from a Dainty Lady and a Great Dane
February 15th, 2012
my co-worker Rachael brings her dog to work every day and I can always see where they walked in the sidewalk so I drew her a picture. This is what I see every morning in the snow, her high heels and his big paw print!

Did We Say Hot Air Balloons? We Meant Beer.
February 4th, 2011
My friends and I got up early Saturday morning to be in Hudson by 7 am to see the Hot Air Balloon launch! We learned at 6am that it was canceled do to the weather so since we were up, we drove to Chippewa Falls and did the brewery tour at Leinenkugals! This is the post card I sent our friend Mark, who lent us his van for the trip.

Green Washing, in a Good Way
January 10th, 2012
For AIGA reDesign our boss lady, Sally, decided that since all our events take place in fall, we should focus on more educational material for committee members. Last night was our first lesson! It was pretty great, we learned about green cleaning products. Basically the take away is: Vinegar is God sent and you should put it on EVERYTHING. Lemon juice and baking soda also work very well for household cleaning.
I’m better at drawing pictures than taking notes so I have some funny little guys from last night. This is Mr. Vinegar. He’s doing a little curtsey because…well, he was the star of our meeting.

Found some of my sketches for my logo! This was right before I printed my cards, I had been working on this for quite some time. I remember that the first time I drew it was on Macy’s receipt paper. I was still working at Estee Lauder my last quarter at Ai and so a lot of my portfolio was done on scrap paper at my counter. Selling lipstick-making logos.
Red Owl Logo
Tattoo for Grandpa
Spent my lunch sketching at my own little table with my Black Sheep pizza. Trying to see if I can fit a hat on the red owl logo for my tattoo.
Our grandpa managed a Red Owl for thirty years so my cousins, my sister, my aunt, and I are getting a tattoo of the little owl wearing grandpa’s hat he always used to have on.
It may or may not work but my sketches look promising! When I get home I’m going to print the logo and draw it out for real.
Going to a wedding this month, sketching ideas for Brad and Jacque.
